Which Specialists to Consult Based on Your Needs

Psychiatrist

A medical doctor specialized in mental health, the psychiatrist can make diagnoses and prescribe medication. They are often consulted for more complex disorders.

Psychologist

School administrators, teachers, or youth workers who wish to enrich their mental health and social prevention programs for young people.

Psychotherapist

A psychotherapist is trained to guide individuals through the process of psychotherapy. They may come from various professional backgrounds but must be accredited.

Neuropsychologist

Specialized in assessing cognitive functions (memory, language, etc.), the neuropsychologist is often consulted for conditions such as ADHD.

Social Worker

A social worker supports individuals or families in addressing social, relational, or emotional challenges. They can provide psychosocial or other forms of support.

Psychoeducator

A key figure in schools or community settings, the psychoeducator works to correct or prevent adaptation difficulties in children, teens, or adults.

Occupational Therapist

The occupational therapist helps improve the autonomy of individuals with physical, mental, or emotional limitations by focusing on daily activities.

Special Education Teacher
